Tremend is looking for talented software developers to join our embedded systems team to develop software for automotive, mobile, telecom and home automation devices running on Linux and Android-based platforms.
As a Tremend expert consultant, you will have the opportunity to be part of international development teams from leading multinational corporations, as well as working on challenging R&D projects from innovative startups.
An ideal candidate for this position is a developer with experience in designing and programming for embedded systems and/or Linux. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are needed. Work on real devices is mandatory, from our Bucharest office.
The position may involve travel for short periods (up to 2 weeks) for training sessions at locations in Europe.
You need to be familiar with:
Usage and programming of Linux/POSIX operating systems and open-source tools (gcc, svn/git, gdb, etc.)
C and C++ languages, with experience programming Linux applications (fundamentals, TCP/IP networking, multithreading and inter-process communication)
Scripting languages, shell scripts, build systems (autotools, make)
To make your application really shine, you should have prior knowledge and experience of:
Kernel driver development/ Solid experience with device drivers and/or kernel hacking
Development of embedded systems
Experience in the automotive industry
Programming standalone systems (RTOS, microcontroller, DSP)
Software design methodologies, UML
Android development (Java, NDK, hardware abstraction layer)
Linux frameworks such as DBus, QT, GTK
Embedded security concepts (programming, architecture)
